Palais des Papes, a papal residence and fortified palace during the 14th century is located in Avignon in southern France. The model is quite large and beautifully detailed. The Palais is actually made up of two buildings reflecting different architectural styles - each with its own courtyard. This made the building of the model logical and straightforward.
